The Fender Custom Shop 70th Anniversary 1954 Stratocaster Relic revives the magic of Fender's iconic original solidbody electric guitar. With its distressed nitrocellulose lacquer finish, vintage-accurate components and Custom Shop handwound '54 pickups, this limited-edition Strat immerses you in the classic style and tone of the 1950s. The 70th Anniversary '54 Strat Relic is perfect for players seeking the look, sound and vibe of a well-loved vintage instrument.
With an Authentically Aged Nitrocellulose Lacquer Finish
Just like the original 1950s Strats, this 70th Anniversary model features a nitrocellulose lacquer finish that's been carefully aged and weathered. The heavy relic process recreates nicks, scratches, checking and wear patterns for a vintage, road-worn appearance that looks and feels like a cherished original. From its faded Taos Turquoise color to its worn finish, this Strat teleports you back to 1954.
With Custom Shop Handwound '54 Pickups
The 70th Anniversary '54 Strat Relic is equipped with a trio of Custom Shop handwound '54 pickups, expertly replicating the magical tone of original 1950s Strats. The bridge, middle and neck pickups deliver the sweet, singing lead tones, quacky midrange and warm neck jazz voice that defined the Strat sound. Dial in sparkling cleans, growling overdrive or anything in between.
With a Quartersawn Maple Neck and Fingerboard
This 70th Anniversary Strat features a quartersawn maple neck and fingerboard for exceptional stability and a snappy, articulate tone. Quartersawn maple has straight woodgrain that prevents warping, while its dense grain structure produces crisp attack and precise intonation. The C-shaped neck profile is comfortable and familiar.
With a Synchronized Tremolo Bridge
Just like Leo Fender intended, the 70th Anniversary '54 Strat Relic has a synchronized tremolo bridge with six bent steel saddles for expressive playing. From subtle shimmers to dive bombs, the floating bridge allows you to add vibrato to chords and single notes. The vintage-style bridge contributes to singing sustain and resonant overtones.
