Description
Made from pure nickel wrap over tin-plated steel hex cores, these strings produce a smooth, rounded tone with vintage character. Ernie Ball pioneered the rock guitar string and has been manufacturing strings to the highest standards for over 50 years to assure unparalleled consistency and performance. Legends like Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Steve Vai and Slash choose Slinky strings for their tone and playability. Pure Nickel Wrap Provides Unique Vintage Tone
The pure nickel wrap gives the 2255 set a warm, rounded tone with natural compression ideal for rock, blues and jazz. This tone shaped decades of rock music and continues to be sought after today for its full, balanced character.

Normally I use 10's for most of my guitars but I has these lying around so I decided to use them . To my surprise these stings have a nice tone and were much easier to play!
