  • Great strings for Drop D!

I use these strings on my Rogue Rocketeer guitar and these are incredible for Drop D tuning! There's enough tightness with the .60 gauge string and all the other strings are comfortable with the A D G B e tuning. Intonation isn't exactly on point with the thickest string, BUT I play mostly rhythm, so the strings are great for that!

Threw these on my guitar, and they immediately sounded horrible. Looked at reviews and these "drop c" strings are best for drop a and b, lowered and still sound like I'm smacking a bees nest.

  • Pretty good.

I like these strings a lot but because of the bigger gauge I had to find a different nut because it wouldn't sit down into the crevice. This isn't a big deal if you plan on keeping it downtuned, but if you want to switch back to standard it could cause some issues. Still a good set of strings.

These strings are perfect in every single imaginable way. .12-.60 are perfect gauges for pretty much all tunings in my experience. The only thing I don't like is the packaging. They aren't individually packaged like Ernie Balls, which makes them really awkward to take out. I can't imagine taking out only one string because it unwinds the rest.
