Love these strings. Tune to D and sometimes C. No buzz.

I have been using these strings for around 3 years, never had one break, they stay in tune and I have never had one uncoil as some other users have. I love these strings. I will never buy another any thing else. Every time I restring these are my go to string set.

  • Not worth buying again

Alright, I'm going to start this off by saying that the only reason I bought these strings in the first place was that I could get them for free with the five dollars a month with the string club. These strings didn't seem that bad when I first put them on, but they wore out incredibly quickly. Within a week the strings sounded dead and muted, and they seem to corrode rather easily. I have not however had a string break on me, even after gigging every day for an entire week. I don't think I'm going to ever buy these (or any Dunlop strings) again because you can find better strings for the same price.

  • Poor quality, decent sound.

I bought these strings as a recommendation from one of the GC workers. They are good sounding. I really do like the tension and sound of them. I jump around anywhere from drop C to drop B flat before they feel too loose and floppy. They have good range and good sound. These strings are not reliable though. I can usually keep a set on for 2 weeks approximately before my bottom E string (6) snaps. The core snaps and leaves the winding to deal with. I thought maybe I got a bad pair. I have had it 4 times now and they have made it to 3 weeks at their longest lifespan. I would not recommend these strings for anyone on a budget. They have good price, but not if you have to buy them more often than normal strings.

First off let me say I love these strings. They sound amazing no matter what tuning you put them in and always have a nice crunch when you play heavy stuff. I play lot of hardcore songs like Asking Alexandira to Bullet for My Valentine and I love these strings. It takes a while to get used to the feel of them because of the tension in drop tunings but once you do you'll love them. But I've bought about 5 packs of these because my lower strings keep coming uncoiled. And it's not only me that's having the problem. My bandmate has had to buy a couple of these packs too. So if you buy some make sure you buy a spare pack.
