Description
The Orange Amplifiers PPC Series PPC212-C 120W 2x12" closed-back guitar speaker cabinet is built to withstand the rigors of touring. This cabinet provides full, rich tone for guitarists wanting power and portability. The PPC212-C cabinet houses two 12" Celestion Vintage 30 speakers, each rated at 60 watts for a total of 120 watts. Its 13-ply, 18 mm birch plywood construction and durable Tolex covering ensure ruggedness and longevity.
Road-Tested Design
Like all Orange gear, the PPC212-C cabinet is built to tour. Its 13-ply birch plywood, durable Tolex covering and rugged construction allow it to handle the stresses of transit and performance. Unique "skid" feet acoustically couple the cabinet to the stage for tight bass response and definition. The cabinet's closed-back design focuses tone for precision and punch.
Classic Celestion Tone
The PPC212-C cabinet contains two Celestion Vintage 30 speakers, each providing 60 watts of power for a total of 120 watts. The Vintage 30s recreate the tone of the original Celestion Blue, with an improved cone and voice coil for better heat handling and a warmer, more complex sound. The Vintage 30s excel at overdriven tones and are a staple of rock guitar sounds.
Performance and Portability
With its rugged build and 120 watts of power, the PPC212-C cabinet is ideal for gigging and studio use. However, its compact size and comfortable handles also make it easily portable. Guitarists wanting a cabinet that can keep up with high-wattage amps will appreciate the PPC212-C's power, while its portability allows for easy load-ins, load-outs and tight stage setups.
The Perfect Mate for Your Orange Amp
Designed and built by Orange Amplifiers, the PPC212-C cabinet is the ideal companion for Orange guitar amps. Its power, tone and construction are tailored to properly handle and enhance the sonic characteristics of amplifiers like the Rockerverb, Thunderverb and AD Series. I just bought this ppc212c cab along with the new orange th30 head, and i must say its incredible. 2 months ago i also bought a gibson les paul studio deluxe and i had been searching for the perfect amp or combo to go along with it. after several combos and head to cab configurations, a gc sales rep told me to give orange a try. i plugged it in, and after a few minutes, i knew this amp and cabinet were coming home with me. outstanding.

Good cab, bad experience.
Buy the cab. Buy 2. I did. It's that good. A little heavy but quality usually is. Do yourself a favor and buy it somewhere else. One of mine looks like it's been around... since the 70's... and I've tried cleaning it twice, first with every chemical inside the house then all the real stinky stuff from the garage... and it still looks horrible. It was sold to me, in worse condition, as new. I was told they do not offer discounts on damaged items. That later proved to be false. Also they told me incorrectly how to connect my head to these speakers, even selling me two speaker wires for one cab and one head, which could have damaged my amp. Like the headline says expect to be happy with the cab, and unhappy with the experience. Also you might get a two for one deal... with purchase of an excellent cab comes the kind of wisdom you can only get from learning the hard way... or listening to my advice: Buy the cab (from someone else) you'll be happy you did.

I upgraded from a cheap 4x12 with celestion rocket 50s to this Orange 2x12 with vintage 30s and the sound is excellent! Construction is top tier, very solid, and you can really feel the sound from this cabinet unlike my old one, I think the full width feet really do make a difference. Using this with a Peavey JSX and it has a great tone with this cab.

I currently run a PRS Archon to this Orange 212 horizontal. I recently acquired a Mesa vertical 212. Hands down I would choose this cab over the Mesa. The V30s are different. The low end and mid range produced by this cab makes this my winner. I play standard E with guitars equipped with low end and mid range boosted EQs. I also bounce between different boost/gain/overdrives. I have a very thick heavy sound and the Orange takes it so naturally. I turn the drum machine up and I can crank this thing and get great tone, and just get lost playing. The downside. When I move around the room the sound gets muddy. This cab shoots sound directly out. Some call it a later beam. Yeah. Ok. It is. I can stand this thing up vertically and I still get a thicker fuller sound than the Mesa vert. I like my Mesa. I love my Orange. It has tone characteristics that are just meatier and more alive than any other 212 cab that I've tried. I originally got rid of my 412s for this 212. It's heavy, no casters, no cover, but still worth every penny.

I've been going back between the orange 4x12 or the 2x12. The 2x12 is more price friendly, easier to haul around but my only question is will it be loud enough for live shows?
The 2x12 will be fine for small to medium size showssubmitted6 years ago

I got a sun beta bass head 100 wt. can I use this as a bass cab? I saw a video of red fang using it this way
It is not recommended that you use guitar cabs as bass cabs. The speakers not not made to handle the low frequencies
