Quite simply, the best violin for a beginner is one that is easy to tune... and that stays in tune. Nothing will frustrate a beginner more than not being able to keep their violin in tune and this negatively impacts both learning how to tune and time - time that could be spent learning how to play the violin. Sadly, many beginners will quit as a result. Before purchasing a violin, read many reviews and avoid violins with plastic parts such as tuning pegs. Cheap materials adversely affect sound as well. The violin is truly an instrument that is worth paying more for better quality craftsmanship.
To assist, we have selected some affordable violins below that still have a good standard of quality that we consider the best for beginners from brands such as Cremona and Bellafina. If you have any questions, please stop in at your local Guitar Center and talk with an associate or call (833) 421-3419 to speak to one of our knowledgeable Gear Advisors.
