Akai Professional

collapse expand iconDescription

The Akai Professional MPC Live II redefines portable music production, offering an all-in-one standalone sampling and sequencing solution powered by MPC3 software. With a 7” multi-touch display, 16 velocity-sensitive RGB pads and a built-in stereo monitor speaker system, this battery-powered unit lets you create, edit and perform anywhere. The MPC Live II seamlessly integrates with Native Instruments’ Play Series instruments and Expansion libraries, delivering an unparalleled collection of professional sounds. Featuring the latest MPC3 workflow enhancements, including Enhanced Main Mode, Linear Song Arranger and Studio Mixer, the MPC Live II makes standalone music creation faster and more intuitive than ever.

The First MPC With Built-in Monitor Speakers

For the first time in MPC history, the MPC Live II features integrated studio monitors, delivering transparent, balanced sound for accurate production and mixing. The dual tweeter-woofer system ensures that every bass hit, synth pad and drum groove is heard with stunning clarity—perfect for on-the-go beatmaking without external speakers. Need a second opinion? Simply disable the built-in speakers and switch to studio monitors or headphones for deeper mix evaluation.

Battery-powered Standalone Production

Designed for maximum portability, the MPC Live II’s built-in lithium-ion battery provides up to six hours of music production without AC power. With 16GB of internal storage, you have plenty of room for samples, loops and beats, while expandable storage options via SD card or USB drive ensure unlimited creative freedom. Whether you're producing at home, on a flight or in a park, the MPC Live II is ready whenever inspiration strikes.

Seamless Integration With Studio and Live Setups

Despite its compact size, the MPC Live II is packed with pro-level connectivity, making it a powerful hub for studio gear and live performance. Phono/line inputs, stereo outputs, USB ports and 5-pin MIDI I/O allow you to connect turntables, synths, drum machines, and controllers with ease. The four CV/Gate outputs provide direct control over modular and Eurorack gear, while Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enable wireless data transfers and Ableton Link 3 synchronization for a fully connected production environment.

The Power of MPC3 and Native Instruments Integration

The MPC3 software update transforms the MPC Live II with Enhanced Main Mode, Linear Song Arranger, Studio Mixer, Advanced Keygroups and XL Channel Strip, streamlining workflow and expanding mixing and sequencing capabilities. The MPC Live II supports Native Instruments’ Play Series instruments and Expansion libraries, giving producers access to a vast collection of high-quality synths, drum kits, and sampled instruments. MPC Live II users can now purchase from Native Instruments five Play Series Instruments and five Expansions that run only in stand-alone mode on the MPC Live II.

The Most Versatile MPC Yet

With its standalone power, built-in monitors, NKS integration and MPC3 enhancements, the MPC Live II is the most versatile MPC ever created. Whether you're crafting beats, performing live, or integrating into a professional studio setup, this portable powerhouse delivers the legendary MPC workflow with modern innovation. Featuring expanded connectivity, seamless software integration and advanced sequencing tools, the MPC Live II is the perfect solution for producers, beatmakers and live performers looking for total creative freedom.

My life is complete.

Life comes at you fast, especially when you're trying to juggle work, family, friends and social distancing. As a result, there's less time to make music. The new Live 2 is solves that. It goes wherever I go and the most versatile electronic piece of musical equipment there is. The addition of the speaker is ingenious and in my honest opinion is a huge upgrade from the first edition. It gives you way more options. I can take it and make beats on my lunch break. I can chop samples and chop vegetables without getting tangled in my headphones, monitors, wires, etc before serving dinner. My 4 yr old son loves sampling random stuff with a SM58 which is dope too. This has re-awakened my passion for making music and has positively impacted me especially in these current times.

Horrible unit. Double triggers and missing hits quite often. Sent back for repair...same problems. They replaced it.....Same problem. Then they offer to repair the new one. I told them forget it. I am sick of shipping the unit to only be disappointed. Guess I will just take the loss.

I almost went with a One+ but portability and the ability to function with an internal battery was key. This is my first go with an Akai MPC product and I am very satisfied with the pads, plug ins, sampling and arranging. I went right into MPC3 and really like it.

  • I'd buy again

I feel the peoduct is awesome…. I'm having a little trouble with certain thing but for the lost part using the equipment is getting easier but the day. Sequencing should be simpler and sounds should be easier to navigate. I Find that in time I should be able to work is flawlessly it , for now … it's taking a minute to work

As someone who has NEVER touched an MPC, does not know how to play an instrument and no experiemce with musical theory, is this a good item to get? I have no issue regarding budget. I just want something to create
