Exploring the American Vintage II 1972 Telecaster Thinline | American Vintage II | Fender
Description
The Fender American Vintage II 1972 Telecaster Thinline electric guitar provides a remarkably accurate take on the company's first humbucker-equipped model. Built with a lightweight, semi-hollow ash body and premium components, this guitar delivers the quintessential tone and feel of a coveted classic. Guitar Center is proud to offer this meticulously crafted instrument, now with vintage-inspired Wide Range humbucking pickups and a fast-playing C-shaped maple neck.
Semi-Hollow Ash Body Produces Legendary Resonance
The American Vintage II 1972 Telecaster Thinline is built around a semi-hollow ash body that provides a bright, sustaining acoustic tone with enhanced resonance. Weighing less than a traditional solidbody, this innovative design yields a lightweight instrument with a full, balanced tone.
Wide Range Humbuckers Capture Authentic Vintage Sound
To accurately recreate the sonics of the original 1972 Telecaster Thinline, Fender resurrected CuNiFe magnets for the Wide Range humbucking pickups. These pickups serve up warm, thick humbucker tones with a perfect amount of clarity and definition in the high end. A three-position blade switch lets you select pickups individually or combine them.
Fast-Playing Neck and Vintage-Style Hardware
The American Vintage II 1972 Telecaster Thinline comes with a comfortable C-shaped maple neck and 7.25"-radius maple fingerboard with 21 vintage-tall frets. It features a Bullet-style truss rod nut, three-bolt neck plate with Micro-Tilt adjustment, "F"-stamped tuners, and a 6-saddle hardtail bridge with bent steel saddles for authentic vintage tone and performance.
Premium Finish and Included Case
This guitar sports an eye-catching gloss polyurethane finish on the body and neck. Now available at Guitar Center, the Fender American Vintage II 1972 Telecaster Thinline comes with a vintage-style black case with an orange interior for premium protection.
