BASSBOSS AT312-MK3 Triple 12" Three-Way Powered Top Loudspeaker

The BASSBOSS AT312-MK3 is a high-output 3-way active coaxial point-source cabinet. The amplifiers and DSP feature powerful 96kHz processors with pristine sound quality and eight touch-of-a-button onboard presets. The state-of-the-art asymmetrical Class-D amplifier provides a true 4,100 watts of RMS power and features enhanced power allocation between the HF and LF drivers, thus offering exceptional dynamic resolution and detail along with precise control and low current draw. The fully integrated and comprehensive digital processing ensures smooth response and reliable operation thanks to meticulous filter alignments and multi-stage limiters that protect the drivers from excessive peaks and thermal overload by monitoring real power output over time.

The processing features presets that allow it to run in several configurations. The first is full-range mode, with response down to 45Hz (–3dB). The AT312-MK3 can be combined with any BASSBOSS subwoofer. Each preset offers different advantages that suit certain applications and preferences. No matter which preset you choose, your BASSBOSS subs and AT312-MK3 tops will always play in harmony. Scalability is another key benefit, as one AT312-MK3 can provide enough mid and high output to match an incredible number of LF elements. Constructed from premium selected 15 mm Baltic birch plywood, the AT312-MK3 is created to stand up to intense usage. The cabinet is finished in an extremely rugged, black polyurethane coating. Drivers are protected by a black powder-coated, perforated steel grille, and the amp is recessed into the back of the cabinet for protection from damage, direct sun and moisture. Its driver compliment incorporates dual 12" woofers in a vented enclosure for low frequencies and a 12" midrange driver in a sealed enclosure with a co-axially mounted 1.4" exit compression driver.

Dual 12" low-frequency drivers were chosen to minimize cabinet frontal area while delivering the best possible speed and impact in their operating range. Thanks to the narrow frontal area, the low-frequency drivers couple coherently when multiple cabinets are arrayed, providing powerful mid-bass impact from a small, lightweight box. The 12" coaxial drivers also serve to minimize frontal area while maximizing output.

The AT312-MK3 behaves as a point-source loudspeaker, which deliver more consistent off-axis performance than conventional loudspeakers with separate mid and high frequency drivers. This feature enhances resolution, and the consistency also enhances the loudspeaker’s versatility, allowing it to be mounted horizontally or vertically.
