Sennheiser HD 280 PRO Monitoring Headphones | Experience the Sennheiser Difference

Sennheiser - The Future of Audio

Description
When it comes to critical listening in the studio or on stage, the Sennheiser HD 280 Pro closed-back headphones deliver the precision you demand. Revered by audio professionals worldwide, the HD 280 Pro combines natural sound reproduction, exceptional isolation and long-wearing comfort into an affordable yet uncompromising package. Whether you're mixing down tracks, laying vocals or monitoring your live rig, these headphones let you focus on your craft without distractions.

Hear Every Detail With Transparent Audio Reproduction
At the core of the HD 280 Pro's performance is Sennheiser's meticulous tuning for linear, uncolored frequency response across the entire audio spectrum. Tight yet expressive lows, articulate midrange clarity, and extended highs free of harshness or sibilance provide an honest window into your mixes. You'll immediately recognize an impressive level of detail that allows you to pinpoint issues and make critical EQ decisions with confidence.

Superior Isolation Tames External Noise
Whether you're monitoring in a noisy environment or performing at high volumes, the HD 280 Pro's exceptional 32dB of ambient noise rejection lets you concentrate on the most intricate nuances. The closed-back circumaural design forms an acoustic seal around your ears, virtually eliminating bleed from instruments, vocals and ambient sounds. This isolation works both ways, preventing your mic from picking up the headphone mix—crucial for recording.

Designed for Marathon Listening Sessions
While the HD 280 Pro headphones excel at technical performance, they also prioritize physical comfort to eliminate listening fatigue. The adjustable padded headband and swiveling, replaceable earcups conform to your head for a secure yet relaxed fit over extended studio sessions. Engineered with lightweight, durable materials, the ergonomic around-ear design creates a surprisingly breathable listening experience. Sennheiser's attention to ergonomics ensures you can stay focused without irritation.

Versatile Connectivity and Portable Construction
With their folding collapsible design and included 1/4" to 1/8" adapter, the HD 280 Pro headphones make an ideal travel companion for any musician or producer on the go. The space-efficient form factor easily stows in a backpack or luggage. Robust plastic construction shrugs off the rigors of travel. And when you arrive at your destination, simply plug into your studio monitors, mixing console or mobile device for uncompromising audio performance anywhere.
Sennheiser has been defining professional monitoring standards for decades, and the HD 280 Pro headphones uphold that prestigious legacy. Accurate sound, comprehensive noise isolation and impressive ergonomics coalesce into a monitoring solution as suited to discerning studio work as high-volume live rigs. Experience reference-grade audio from a name you can trust—pick up your Sennheiser HD 280 Pros today at your local Guitar Center.

For me comfort and sound are the most important aspect to great headphones and Seinheiser Hd 280 blow Audio Technica's M40x out of the water for the same price (I returned those for these). Main use is computer. Buy these headphones. They're awesome!!!

I don't know
I ordered this online to be shipped to a local store. I unboxed as soon as I got home and I instantly noticed it was already opened. The headphones looked like they were just thrown in. No covering on headphones. No neat wiring tie down. The box was flimsy and it looked like it was bought and return like 5 times. Also want add how uncomfortable they were. Felt like someone was squeezing my ears and I don't have a big head.

At first I loved these headphones, I purchased two pairs, both pairs the headrest and ear pads started deteriorating, only after owning only a couple years. Unfortunate, I love their mics but I will not purchase Sennheiser headphones again.

Info from the description: "Ready to pack it up? Due to their collapsible earpieces, the HD 280 PRO headphones are very space-saving when it comes to transportation. Plus, all parts subject to wear and tear, such as earpads, headband padding and cable, are easily replaceable, thus ensuring they'll last a long time." So, are the cables really "easily replaceable" as it states?
