Description
Walrus Audio's groundbreaking MAKO series R1 reverb pedal delivers a meticulously crafted reverb experience for the discerning player. The R1 boasts studio-grade sound quality and an intuitive interface, allowing guitarists to craft reverbs ranging from subtle ambience to vast, cavernous spaces. Whether performing live or recording in the studio, the R1 provides a lush, nuanced reverb that elevates your tone to new heights.
High-Fidelity Sound Quality
At the heart of the R1 lies a 32-bit digital signal processor that produces stunningly realistic reverbs. Walrus Audio's engineers spent over a year perfecting the R1's circuitry to achieve reverbs that bloom and decay with a natural warmth and depth. The result is a reverb pedal that sounds more like a high-end rack unit, providing a level of quality that is unparalleled in its class.
Simple Yet Powerful Controls
Despite its impressive capabilities, the R1 features an intuitive layout with just three knobs: mix, decay and tone. The mix knob blends the wet and dry signals, allowing you to dial in anything from a subtle ambience to a saturated wash of reverb. The decay knob controls how long the reverb tails last, ranging from short, clipped reflections to cavernously long decays. The tone knob shapes the character of the reverb, allowing you to create darker, warmer reverbs or brighter reverbs with enhanced high-end detail.
Versatile Reverb Types
At the center of the R1's control layout is a selector switch that chooses between three distinct reverb types. The room setting produces natural-sounding reverbs reminiscent of small and medium-sized rooms. The hall mode generates lush, expansive reverbs that emulate the reverberation of large concert halls. The plate setting recreates the warm, shimmering sound of vintage plate reverb units. With this range of reverb types and the ability to profoundly shape each one, the R1 delivers an incredible level of tonal versatility in a compact pedal.
Road-Ready and Built to Last
Housed in a rugged aluminum enclosure, the R1 is ready to handle the rigors of life on the road. Its high-quality components are designed to provide years of reliable performance under demanding conditions. Powered by a 9V DC power supply, the R1 draws a mere 25mA of current, making it easy to incorporate into your existing pedalboard power solution.
