Toca hand-painted maracas are handmade from select hardwood and filled with premium beads for an optimum dry timbre. These maracas emit a well-balanced sound, making them delightful shakers that are neither obtrusive nor too muted for workaday musical settings. The wooden "gourd" is the perfect size for live shows or studio recordings. No two maracas are exactly alike in appearance or in tone.

I have been very pleased with these Maracas. Their sound is awesome and they are durable. Only compliments when I play them.

I shake my maracas mostly to annoy my bandmates at our jam sessions - and these do an exceptional job of it. Also, it is very hard to shake them and play rhythm guitar at the same time, but, as Bog is my witness, I will persevere! (Seriously though, these maracas are very authentic-looking and well-made. Used appropriately, they can add a little Latin mojo to your repertoire.)

These are nice sounding and nice feeling Maracas. I'm a beginner though and my teacher said they weren't suitable for Afro-Cuban. More a toy than a professional instrument though he did say they might be great for Argentine music.

The sound is spot on and each one has a small brass eyelet for stowage/hanging.
