Here?s the low down on the GB-7C Takamine guitar. First of all it looks great. Fit and finish is perfect. Playability is easy and the sound both acoustically or plugged in is top shelf. I have another Takamine, a seagull, and three Martians. The GB-7C puts them all to shame. Don?t get me wrong. My other guitars are very nice but this GB Takamine is awesome! I would put it up against any Marin, Taylor or Gibson you want. Don?t buy another high end guitar until you play one. When me and my guitar buddy?s get together the GB Takamine is the bell of the ball. Everyone wants to dance with her at least one time. Good luck folks. I hope this review helps.

Dear Guitar Center Review Reader, This guitar has been in my possession for approx. 3-4 years. This guitar has some good and down sides. First of all, I am in love with the appearance this guitar gives me. I think one of my favorite parts of this guitar is the style of the guitar, with the guitar-shaped hole and the wood it is made of. When I began to play it, these features stood out the most. One downside I have with this guitar is that cutaway. I find that guitars with cutaways tend to have a brighter sound, which makes this guitar better for a lead part in an acoustic set. So for those of you who like to play rhythm guitar, I would choose finding another guitar without a cutaway, for that deeper sound. Another downside to this guitar is how easy it is for this guitar to become scratched or dented. You must be very careful with this guitar, because it be easily destroyed. This can be easily avoided, but it all depends on the owner and their care. When I use this guitar, I like to have a clear tone when playing, so I like to find nice strings for it. To get a nice clear tone sound, I prefer buying the "Cleartone" guitar strings(how convenient of a name). I also like the brand "Elixer's". I usually get the lights, since my fingers are very small and sensitive, but depending on your finger size, it may vary. Not too much to say at the moment other than a very nice guitar. I would recommend this to an intermediate or beginning expert. Other guitar to recommend that are better for less would be a Lerivee(sorry if I spelt that wrong) or a Breedlove! Hope this helps.
Best Guitar I've Ever Had...

I have 3 acoustics, and have played many acoustics, but by far, this is the best sounding gutar I have ever played or owned! Honestly, I got this guitar because Mr. Garth Brooks plays it, and he is one of my favorite singers/gutar players. I trusted that this guitar would be good, seeing that every time Garth played it, it sounded fanominal! Well, it is good, it is actually better than good, it's Excellent! The feel, the sound, everything just works! I have had no problems with the guitar shaped sound hole, actually, I think it makes the sound better. This guitar also has excellent electronics. No popping or any unwanted sounds when you plug it in. The sound, unplugged, just blows you away at how loud it can be. I would highly reccommend this guitar, not because it looks good or a legend plays it, but more because of its playability and sound. When Garth designed this, he knew what he was doing, and if I could, I would buy another! It's just a wonderful guitar!

Professional guitarist who plays all the time. I don't just play a gig every now and then, I do studio work, gigs, play in a band, recordings with other artist, etc. So, since this is what I do, I have to have the best equipment for sound and playability. I bought this guitar a few years ago and fell deeply in love with not only the sound but the appearance and feel of how it plays. Takamine out did themselves on this one! Garth must have told them he was going to make one just like it and sell it exclusively at Wal Mart, if they didn't make a Premium Guitar, so they certainly did! The guitar has all the nice abalone on the rosette, and the double bone bridge, and Gold tuners, etc, etc. But, the sound and the way the neck feels has just got to be as sweet as you will EVER play! The Cedar top is really ringing as soon as you play it. It will need no aging to mellow out. If you have not played this Gal, then try to find one any way you can, for they do not stock them at many stores. Too expensive I guess, but I would pay twice as much now that I own one and after years of giging all over the country, she is still as sweet sounding and really takes the pounding too. Be sure and buy a better case, like the Pro Series to protect her, she is definitely worth a couple hundred more bucks!
