The craftsmanship is poor I had to deal with SPL and they refuse to fix the issue after me sending it back 3xs . They constantly saying I need to talk to Guitar Center and it was there fault. Not very happy with SPL right now.
Sweet addition to any bass drum!

I put this thing on the front of a 22"x14" drum shel and it looks awesome! I really don't think there is a sound difference, however I do not have another standard reso hoop to experiment with. To really focus the low frequency of a bass drum, the hoop would need to be much deeper, but this thing is cool! Pair this with a flashy reso head like the Remo vintage graphic shield and try it with a kickport! That will really improve your sound! See attached picture! P.S. The price includes the hoop and tension rods, the claws are not included!!
Beware!!!!

Be aware that when you get these, they come with tension rods that will not fit in DW or Pacific drums. You will have to buy separate tension rods and tension rod receivers to make these hoops work. All you really need are the tension rod receivers so that you can replace the ones currently in your DW or Pacific kit. I don't think you can buy the tension rod receivers by themselves. It forces you to buy the whole thing which can be another $80, depending out what brand you buy.
