I have no complaints about the quality of the stand or pads themselves. I bought this kit so i can practice in my Apartment, however they are not as quiet as you would think. The skins are plastic and are not the quietest of materials to bang on. I would prefer the hard rubber surface of most of my practice pads so i made some modification and now i feel comfortable practicing at any hour of the day or night. What i did was glue on some rubber deadening pads to the remo plastic pad surface. This makes a world of difference.
Pretty Quiet, but not a full drum experience.

I'm not an expert on practice sets by any means, this is my first. I really love playing on it, it's not too loud at all, and my playing has already improved after having it just a week. My only problems with it are as follows: Alothough the snare is made from a tougher, matte plastic, the tom and base drums pads are made from a shiny black plastic that scuffs very easily. And once the scuffs are on the drum pads, they will not come off. And secondly, there isn't a pedal for the base drum. I don't know if other brands or models have one, but I really don't understand why there even is a base drum if you won't be using it. I tap my foot on the metal base of the base drum, and that gives a sound that helps me to stay on track. But that and the lack of symbols confuses me. However, my fills have gotten 100% better in the lat week, and it is a nice little practice kit. I would recommend this to someone who already plays drums, not as a tool to learn on.
Very good chop builder.

I bought this practice set almost 2 months after i bought my DDrums kit. I live in an apartment complex so i cant play my kit all the time like i would like to. This kit is so quiet and feels like a real kit! I was amazed by it. I bought one for my nephew and his chops are off the wall now. I would solely suggest you get one of these if you live in apartments like i do. Or if you just dont have a place were you can practice on your set. You will love it.
