Great mic stand, but a little light...

I bought one of these for live use and to use in a studio setting. It does the live thing perfectly - just slap a sm58 on and you're good to go. Great quality, especially for the small price tag. For anything heavier than a 58, however, you had better look into something more heavy-duty. It takes quite a bit of maneuvering to get some of my lighter condenser mics to not tip this thing over. For live use, though, this stand can't be beat!

Good Stand

I've looked every where for a tripod mic stand that will fit the needs of my band. I started to forget about finding a good tripod and move on to round base. Then one day while I was at the Guitar Center near me I found this stand, it was perfect. I can not ever regret buying this stand.

Good Stand

I use this stand for holding my band's vocal mics during practice, and at times to hold the overhead mics for our drummer. It is a great stand, as long as your mics arent too heavy. We had a condenser-diaphragm mic on one of them and now it droops a bit. Other than that, the stand is fine. The boom is removable and it can go up pretty high and low. Great quality overall, spring the extra money for a pro-line.

Not Versatile

This stand does not securely hold my mic (akg perception 100). The main piece that connected the mic with the microphone input chord restricts the proper connection between the two pieces and it creates an "unlocking lock" everytime you try and secure it together.

Great Stand

This Stand certainly gets the job done. I don't know much about stands but this is a great find. It is cheap and is of good quality.
