The Click Hi-Hat Tambourine from Latin Percussion offers a durable ABS plastic frame with eight pairs of nickel-plated, steel jingles. The jingles are mounted on RESO ring for projection. Additionally, you can mute the jingles with easy on/off CLICK* feature. Strike the tambourine (while muted) for a quick, trashy sound.

Small size and dampening feature perfect for pit work

I use this tambourine mostly in a drum booth with a mic shared with my hi-hat. I also use it in musical pit orchestras. It has a nice, bright sound with the silver jingles. It is only about 8" in diameter, so it is not going to cut through a rock concert - that is not what it is designed for. (Buy a double row LP or Rhythm Tech mounted tambourine with the stick guard and thrash away!). This tambourine's dampening feature is why I bought it, and very glad I did. You can mute the jingles so every song you play will not have a jingle with every hi-hat hit or chick. A simple push of the black top applies or releases the damper. Very nice if need to make certain the tambourine is quiet! It takes timing to turn the damper on and off, however, because there is a distinct clack noise when depressed. I have used it for about a year now and is holding up nicely.

Not Tough Enough For Rock

Use at live clubs in 4-piece band. Good sound, but poor construction / breaks easily. plastic frame body not robust enough for its intended application on high-hat stem.

Nice product. I like the accents the "Steel Jingles" add to the hats when tapping with my foot. The deep red color looks great!

I like the jingle sound when I close the hi hat and I hit it directly often too. I broke my first one from hitting it too hard, too often but it actually sounds better as it breaks as the jingles get louder. Still the best sound I've found.

I like that it can be hit with a stick and there is no damage unlike my last one.
