For over 35 years, Fingerease has been the leading string lubricant trusted by guitarists worldwide. Fingerease can transform your guitar playing experience by eliminating the friction between strings and frets. Safe for all string types including steel, nylon and gut, Fingerease lubricates strings to reduce finger soreness, minimize string noise, and keep your fretboard clean. Fingerease Guitar String Lubricant, the slick solution for silky strings and frictionless fretting.

Ultra-Low Friction Formula

The proprietary formula behind Fingerease Guitar String Lubricant utilizes advanced polymers to create ultra-low friction coating. By reducing drag between strings and frets, Fingerease allows for faster playing across the neck while also minimizing string squeaks and buzzes. The lubricating effects of Fingerease last through multiple playing sessions, giving guitarists a persistently smooth experience.

Condition and Protect

In addition to lowering friction, Fingerease Guitar String Lubricant conditions and protects strings to extend their lifespan. The lubricant prevents built-up grime and oils from adhering to strings while shielding them from environmental damage. Well-conditioned strings produce a fuller, richer tone and require fewer replacements.

Comfort and Callous Control

For guitarists, one of the major benefits of Fingerease is reducing finger soreness from string contact. The lubricant creates a slick surface that lessens the abrasiveness of strings on fingertips. This can help prevent the formation of callouses or soften existing ones. With Fingerease, guitar players experience enhanced comfort for extended practice sessions and performances.

Convenient Application

Fingerease Guitar String Lubricant comes in a 2.5 oz bottle with an easy-to-use spray-on applicator. Simply spray Fingerease onto strings and fretboard, then wipe away any excess with a clean cloth. Reapply as needed to maintain reduced friction and a clean playing surface. Fingerease is also safe for all guitar finishes and will not damage wood or other materials.

Mojo in a can

I love this stuff. I've used it almost since Day One (when I first realized string lubricants existed). The aerosal dispenser is fast, clean, and it doesn't harm the atmosphere. Plus, in over 20 years of using the stuff, I've never seen it cause any kind of damage to any of my guitars. It's highly effective in reducing string drag and in helping to eliminate the dreaded "squeaks" that invariably occur. I corrode strings pretty quickly if they're left untreated. So, in addition to making my strings FEEL better, they actually make my strings PLAY better and last longer. Forget paying a premium for special nano coated wires; just grab a can of Fingerease and make ANY string "coated"! I've also tried a bunch of other liquid string lubes but none of them even comes close to Fingerease. Plus, the stuff seems to sell for the same price now as when I first started using it. Unreal! If you like slick, effortless strings that maintain that "just restrung" quality, you're sure to appreciate the mojo that awaits you inside this little 2.5 ounce miracle.

The most honest opinion...

This review in which I have observed and feel may not be persuaded to others, but this is not my intention in doing at all. So I want to clarify that it is an ok use for but for some critique reasons. First off, I am still a fan of this product to this day, and yes I have use this quite often. BUT, there are some few things you have to be aware of when you buy this. Most of the times when I change strings it's because they feel stiff and I have no I idea why they keep feeling stiff most of the time, until I come to realize it's the finger ease that's being in use. Here is my tip on buying a product. "ALWAYS READ WHAT'S ON THE BACK!" and yes, I have to learn this the hard way. The 1st line of the 1st paragraph is the crucial evident you have to think about, in which the part is read, "Reduces finger tenderness-stops string talk..." To me, that would mean that it will stiffen the strings to the point where there will be little or no string talk, in which case, you'll be sacrificing string bending. Many songs that are played are highly used for bending strings and such, but if you don't do strings bending at all, you wouldn't care much at all then. Also, this takes away you callous from your fingers! "...residue transfers from strings to fingers and conditions callouses, keeping soft and smooth without snags." I don't know if I am interpreting correctly, but YOU NEED TO HAVE HARD CALLOUSED FINGERS TO PLAY GUITAR OR ANY OTHER STRING INSTRUMENT! I think that this is good for nylon strings but not steel strings at all... I replaced my old elixirs nanoweb .009 over dunlop .009 and it was very good at first when I played to stretch out the strings, but after when I applied the finger ease to the strings, it just started to sound and feel really different. Now, many of you who may read this read this review will not agree with me maybe because most of you have better experience with the this more than me; But this is my experience with the product which is the reason why I'm giving this a 3 stars. It is not a good product, but it is not bad either. For now, this product will be my last can when I finish it. Until the manufacturer improves this product, I will buy it once again. By the way, the guitar that I put my strings on is a Charvel DST-FR1 which is similar to the LTD/ESP Gus-g Random star.

I saw this on a Dream Theater and I figured if these guys are using it then it has to be decent, so I picked up a bottle at my local GC and went for it on my bass. I was using the Dunlop 65 string lube and I can say this is MUCH better and performs to a notable difference.

Always have a can handy at gigs/practice in case conditions require it. Few things suck more than your hands sticking to the neck on a hot, humid day.

  • I would recommend it people who use string instrument!
