The simplicity of a stompbox. The control of an effects switching system.

Get the best of both worlds with the DigiTech RP500 Guitar Pedal. The RP500 features a Pedalboard mode that allows you to turn on and off individual stompboxes and effects by pushing buttons 1-5. You get the expressiveness of stompboxes and you can change them from preset to preset. Next take the Amp/Cabinet Bypass button that defeats the internal amplifiers and cabinets leaving you with only stompboxes and effects and you have a switching machine. Save each combo in a preset for a uniquely switchable pedal setup not found anywhere else but pro switching systems.

The RP500 multi effects pedal is built like a tank, from a cast metal chassis to the 9 vacuum-style switches. A large 10 character LED display makes for easy stage use topped by an built-in expression pedal to control wahs, volume, Whammy™ and other parameters.

Your sound is king so having control of your sound is imperative. The DigiTech RP500 pedal gives you the control to express yourself the way you want No longer will the lack of control stand in the way of your expression.

NEW REVIEW - An Effects Station for Every Style Desired!

I was very pleased with this purchase. I have played guitar for many years, almost my whole life now and normally I tend to play straight through my amp and use overdrive or not for my playing. I wanted to get a new multi effects pedal as the one I purchased years ago by ART I didnt feel was a very good one, nor did it have a wide variety of great sounds. With this Effects pedal I found not only does it have amazing sounds, but it has so many effects for every style of playing. I tend to play different styles so this was great for me. I absolutely love the fact that you can create your own, and adjust the Amp's as well. This pedal has more then anyone can dream of offering at least for me. I have been enjoying playing my different guitars and find that I am playing more now with this pedal then I ever did straight through an amp on it's own. I also love the fact that it has the built in Wah pedal too, one thing my last effects center did not have. I would highly recommend this effects center for anyone who enjoys playing different styles, and who wants to have a unit with a lot to offer!

Digitech RP500 ROCKS!!!!!!!!!

I have been looking for a new mulit-effects processor for a while now and I haven't had much luck. I have had trouble finding one that had a lot of strong effects in it, that was simple to use on stage. This model beats every other multieffects processor in its price range. I love the idea that you can make 40 different preset chains on it and then turn each individual effect off and on at will during a song. It's like having 40 custom boards at your feet. Another bonus is that it had an internal amp and cabinet simulator. This helps so much when you want to just plug right into the board, instead of the hassle of miking your amps. This system rocks and I would recommend it to anyone that wants a GREAT processor at a reasonable price.

Amazing

The metal chassis is solid and everything sounds great, had to replace a plastic Zoom 606 after 3+ years of abuse. Bought this with my rebate check; the wahs sounds spectacular and i'm gonna try to fill up all 100 sound banks with my own tones. The built-in Whammy, amp/cabinet simulators and Cubase are worth the price of admission alone.

The best in multi- effects

I have been using pedals for awhile, including the RPs, I wanted to up grade to a bigger pedal board to eliminate some pedals, I tried the Boss multi- effects, (sounds all the same no change in distortions) Zoom, Line 6. But the new Rp 500 is by far the best on the market. All my stompboxes are by digitech and they even work with the RP 500 without bypassing. If I were you go get one, You'll love it.
