I always had issues with my Roland RT 30K (primarily getting false triggers when hitting my snare too hard). I had my settings and drum set up perfectly but could never get past this issue. I decided to try the Kick Zone and that issue instantly vanished. It picks up all my hits PERFECT and false triggers rarely occur if it even happens at all. The only negative thing I could say is maybe it would be hard to reinstall it to new drum skins but I find the cheap price point worth just purchasing multiple. I also used super glue (as weird as it sounds) to install it because I heard some people say it can fall off because the glue isn't sticky enough. This is probably not needed but I glued it myself with superglue anyway. I absolutely LOVE this trigger and hope they never stop producing it. I play in a metal band with double bass over 200 bpm and this trigger really does work wonders. if anyone is curious I have it hooked up to my Roland TM2 module. Again, fanatic trigger.

  • Great trigger but have a backup, because they don't last

This I a very accurate trigger. It picks up every touch of your beater with a very high resistance to double triggering. I'm on my third one in a year of playing regular. They're poorly built and the wire always ends up breaking and renders it useless. If you buy it always have a backup

    Great product for the money.

  • Better than hoop mounted trigger (in this case)

Works great on my bass drum with a Remo Powerstroke head. My old hoop mounted trigger would not work well because of the construction of the head. This works great.

  • Just ordered a second one for my back up kit!
