Elektron's Analog Rytm MKII is an eight-voice analog drum machine and sampler that provides musicians a powerful yet intuitive tool for creating beats. With the MKII, you can combine analog drum synthesis and digital sampling to craft your own signature sounds. Each of the eight voices offers analog tone generation that can be layered with samples. You have full control over tuning, pitch and playback direction for the samples. The analog filters, overdrive and LFOs provide additional tone-shaping tools.

Fully Integrated Sampling

The MKII makes sampling simple with balanced audio inputs and ample onboard storage. Capture any sound and incorporate it into your rhythms. Tweak sample settings like pitch, playback direction and loop points to mold the sounds to your needs. The sampling engine fully integrates with the analog tone generator so you can blend analog and digital sounds for results that are only limited by your imagination.

Robust Sequencing and Performance Features

The MKII provides a powerful step sequencer for programming rhythms and a set of performance-focused features for live playing. The step sequencer offers parameter locking so you can automate changes to any sound parameter. You can also record automation in real time. During a performance, the 12 velocity-sensitive pads provide a dynamic interface for triggering sounds and samples. The pads can also activate "scenes," which are snapshots of the MKII's settings that allow for instant sound changes.

Onboard Effects and Individual Outputs

To finish crafting your sounds, you can route each of the eight voices through the analog filter and overdrive and add reverb and delay effects. The MKII provides individual audio outputs for each voice in addition to the main stereo outs. The individual outputs allow you to process sounds externally or record separate drum tracks. A headphone output provides monitoring options for performances or studio use.

Included Samples and Patterns

The MKII comes loaded with samples, kits and patterns to get you started. The included content provides a range of musical ideas to build upon. Between the sampling engine, analog tone generation and onboard effects, the possibilities for creating your own sounds and rhythms are nearly endless. Connect the MKII to your computer via USB to use the Overbridge plugin, which allows you to control the MKII from your digital audio workstation.
