MobileMix forgoes an IEC power cable in favor of USB, which significantly increases its portability—especially for livestreams and video production. An undercarriage compartment designed to hold a rechargeable USB battery pack (sold separately) is a key attribute of the Mackie MobileMix, empowering users to embrace modernity and bring the content creation station with them wherever they go. It's also possible to run the mixer using a USB adapter or from the powered port of a laptop. On the musicians' side, taking advantage of a battery pack means one less AC outlet to worry about, freeing up space for keyboards, amplifiers, PA speakers and other essential components of a live performance—an invaluable MobileMix characteristic in situations where power is limited.

Onboard Effects for Polished Sound

MobileMix may be small, but it's still a fully featured portable console, complete with an array of effects for real-time polishing. Two-band EQ on channels 1–4 helps dial in a clear, impactful mix intuitively, and switchable high-pass filters on the Onyx preamps offer one-touch mud reduction on sources like vocals and guitar. Once you’re satisfied with overall levels and equalization, three different digital reverbs create a cohesive space for your sounds to live, "gluing" them together with dimension. These include Plate, Hall and Reverb+Delay settings, guided by an overall FX Level and individual sends on each of the eight channels for the perfect mix.
