The limited-edition 70th Anniversary 1954 Stratocaster Heavy Relic from Fender's Custom Shop lets you experience the feel of a vintage Strat with modern playability. Part of the 70th Anniversary Stratocaster Collection, this guitar commemorates the Strat's rich history while providing iconic tone. With only 1,954 made, it's a special way to own a piece of Fender's legacy.

Relic'd Finish Looks and Feels Nicely Aged

The nitrocellulose lacquer finish on the ash body is relic'd to replicate a vintage guitar that's been lovingly played for decades. The heavy relic process creates dings, wear, cracks and checking in the finish to authentically emulate a well-worn '54 Strat. From the moment you pick it up, it feels broken-in and familiar. The relic'd finish not only looks incredibly cool, it helps unlock the resonant tone of the ash body over years of playing. The Wide-Fade 2-Color Sunburst finish is also quintessentially vintage Fender.

Custom Shop '54 Pickups Capture Classic Strat Tone

This 70th Anniversary Strat comes loaded with a trio of Custom Shop Hand-Wound '54 pickups, providing the sought-after bell-like Stratocaster tone. The bridge pickup has heightened treble response, while the neck pickup produces a smooth, jazzier tone. Combined with the 5-way switching, you can conjure classic Strat tones from sparkling funk to Texas blues. The pickups, pots and capacitors are carefully crafted for vintage-accurate sound.

Quartersawn Maple Neck and Fingerboard Enhance Sustain

The quartersawn maple neck and fingerboard offer exceptional stability under string tension, as well as lively resonance. Quartersawn maple minimizes warping and twisting over years of playing. The C-shaped '54 profile neck feels sleek, fast and familiar. With its modern 9.5" radius and medium vintage frets, it's incredibly comfortable yet still captures vintage vibe. The bone nut enhances sustain and resonance. Overall, it's a premium neck that plays incredibly well.

Complete With Vintage-Style Hardware

This Strat comes equipped with vintage-style hardware including tuners with Fender logo, a synchronized tremolo bridge with bent steel saddles for excellent return to pitch and a white single-ply pickguard. The knurled chrome knobs and blade switch further the vintage aesthetic. It perfectly blends old-school looks with modern reliability. With included hardshell case and certificate of authenticity, this 70th Anniversary Stratocaster celebrates Fender's legacy.
